A lifelong engineer. A second act in music.
I’m Tony Cupolo—electrical engineer, songwriter, and the human being behind Raidio Tony. After three decades away from making music, an old friend (and first bandmate) pulled me back in. I released my debut album, R2024A, at 57.
My songs draw on the guitar-driven rock and pop I grew up with, personal stories, and a few experiments along the way. I write the lyrics and bring together traditional recording, generative AI as a virtual band, and audio tools I’ve built myself. Apparently, even my hobbies need an engineering department.
press - what people are saying
“In conversation with SFL Music Magazine - Old friends. New tools. Same musical instincts.” - Lori Smerilson Carson
“What stands out about Tony’s music is the intention behind it; it’s not just AI for the sake of novelty, it’s storytelling through a new lens.” - Dave Rose
— Deep South Entertainment
“He achieves a moving sound that touches the emotions through the vulnerability he conveys with his voice. What I really loved is that he gives us an energetic sound that can accompany us on long road trips; it's impactful and super peaceful. 100% recommended!” - Dan
